Betty J. Hayslip, 75 of New Lebanon driving a PT cruiser, ran a red light and struck a Subaru driven by Albertina L. Walker, 41, of Dayton.
The collision caused the Subaru to roll over and crash into pedestrian Scott Tegtmeyer 42, of Dayton.
Investigators said the Scott was crossing the street when the crosswalk signal was red. Can you believe Scot miraculously survived the accident? He did!
Medics found Scot’s body covered in blood and initially pronounced him dead at the scene. During transit he started to breath again and was fully resuscitated by doctors.
Scot survived because his body fit into a dent caused by the impact with the PT cruiser, preventing him from being crushed.
How lucky is Scot? Unlucky to be hit, but really luck to survive!
