If all you care about in a woman is "what looks good" then I'll pray for you, for you've really hit the deep end. I'll have you know I'm happily married and am probably a lot older than you, and I really know what true beauty is. She can't help the way she was born, and just because one of her eyes is a little lop-sided and she's not the best with eye make-up does not mean she's ugly. Yos, your assumption that all of us men are shallow because we dig chicks with nice looks is a stereotype which I, as a male, reject. But I readily admit that I may be speaking for myself only on this particular matter.

To clarify my position, no I don't judge a girl by looks alone. Truth be told, I don't know who this person is, or what she's like in real life. She may be really cool. In which case, kudos for her. However, even if she was really cool, I wouldn't be more than friends with her the same way that I wouldn't be more than friends with someone like Pamela Anderson. There's no telling what would happen to the genitals in both cases. I do have a strong sense of self preservation and propogation after all.

That said, looks do play an important part in the mating ritual and nobody can deny that. It is a force of nature that compells members of both genders to find someone of the opposite sex that is, at the very least, not unappealing to the eyes. In both cases, personality AND looks can each individually triumph over the shortcomings of the other trait.

I, for one, prefer personality over looks. But if I can find both in equal amounts in one package...yeah, I'll take that.
