First of all, those are mice, not rats. Rats are quite a bit larger than what is shown in the video.

Secondly, while I could never eat mice, nor could I ever eat anything raw like that, I believe this man is doing whatever he has to do to stay alive. This could be a wake-up call for middle and upper class people that don't know what it's like to have to live in extreme poverty.

well as much as i agree with some of u...this dude is from venezuela. the plastic "cup" he uses to drink is actually a butter container. the brand "Mavesa" is the leading butter brand in the market...so while the comments about extreme poverty do apply, keep in mind that its south american extreme poverty...
