Having seen the images, I have some hope that they're fake. Looking at the first image, you can tell there is some kind of Photoshop going on at the wound area. There is no flesh ripple or skin peeling, as well as no cut wounds. This looks to me like a very repulsive image-shopping. Notice that in the second image, the blood on her right hand looks like it isn't in contact with her actual hand, as well as the "spike" not having actual contact with her left hand, even though it seems as though she is gripping it. I think this is a sick way for someone to pass off a GF horribly maiming their dog.

They found the roadkill dog, and prepared it expecting a good grade. Although the university was fine with them using roadkill for the project they did say that the disrespect to the animal and the photos/video (yes there is a video) are not OK with them.
