That's Phucked

Brain Maggots

Next time you want to eat some sushi.  You may want to reconsider...

This is a true case of a japanese man from Gifu Prefecture who complains incessantly about a persistent headache. Mr. Shota Fujiwara loves his sashimi and sushi very much to the extent of trying to get them as "alive and fresh" as can be for his insatiable appetite.

He developes a severe headache for the past 3 years and has put it off as migraine and stress from work. It was only when he started losing his psycomotor skills that he seeks medical help. A brain scan and x-ray reveals little however. But upon closer inspection by a specialist on his scalp, the doctor noticed small movements beneath his skin. It was then that the doctor did a local anaesthetic to his scalp and discovered the cause when tiny worms crawled out. A major surgery was thus immediately called for and the extent of the infestation was horrific.

Remember, tapeworms and roundworms and their eggs which abounds in all fishes fresh or saltwater can only be killed by thorough cooking and/or freezing the fish to between 4 degC - 0 degsC. The eggs of these parasites can only be killed if it is cooked or frozen to the said temperatures for a week or more.

well first off, those are maggots not tapeworm or roundworm, tapeworms form cysts in the brain which are sacs full of tapeworm eggs. Second most normal people should be worming themselves once a year and those working with animals or that have animals twice a year to prevent worm infestations. So this guy must have had some injury to his head at some stage and then left unnoticed allowing it to get dirty and attract flies that then laid eggs in the area. looks like hygenic care is alot more important in this situation.

cool found what it really was:
Based on information received from an unnamed but presumably reliable source, the trusty debunkers at have concluded that the images are indeed authentic and pertain to the case of 70-year-old man suffering from "an unusual form of cancer which had eaten away at the upper portion of his skull and scalp." When I took this to Dr. Friedlander for a second opinion, he agreed that the medical explanation is plausible, though in his judgment the photos could still have been retouched.
"I cannot account for the apparent maggots and apparent eggs," he wrote.

so it could be fake as well, but theres more info if you go to the link.

here is the link to where i found that info:

at least do some fucking simple research mr phucked (normally im not against anything thats put up, except false medical posts)

yeah so fake. Found that out also from the link asd posted a while back.

i was about to say that would definately cause more damage than what he was reporting. "It was only when he started losing his psycomotor skills that he seeks medical help."
there is no way that only effected him a little...

You always get those smartarses who want to prove people wrong ¬_¬
It's phucked up, I for one think it belongs on this bloody site.

i dont want to be another person faulting this but i agree with asd because look around the outside of his head, it hasnt been cut by a surgeon it looks like what asd said......a form of cancer that has eaten away at it and maybe this picture is after they cut away what was dead..

this link explains the worms and things better...assuming snopes is a good enough source for everyone...

that is the most fucked up shit ive ever seen.
i am so pissed off

Imagine being there and seeing all of the maggots moving...uhg.

well if the sushi explanation is true, I literally will never eat it again. However, I won't be eating any for sure at least until i find out the real cause lol.

Probably bot flies xP

isnt it said that maggots eat dead tissue only?
so another point against the realness

If it had eaten away at his brain and he seriously only had surgery by the time it was THAT BAD...
No, not possible.
Quite simply put, for the skull cap to degrade takes a long time, and his brain would have been exposed for that long. By this time if that were the case, he'd be dead. Bacteria or viruses would have invaded the second his brain was exposed, and once you get an infection like that, you're pretty much done for.

I can't believe that he walked around while his head was rotting away, I just can't. That far along, it's physically impossible.

Next time fish is caught, leave it in cold storage until ur ready 2 eat it.

Oh!  No lower than 0 degrees celsius?

Ohhh, maaannn.....that is sick, I like sushi too.....or rather I did....O_O

I fully approve of this post! Regardless of whether its true or not, it's still a phucking sick picture! Laughing As for those swearing off sushi, I think that's really THE dumbest idea ever... C'mon, millions of people eat the stuff daily. This is one of those freaky-freaky accidents that "NEVER" happen. Assuming the story is true, the guy practically took the fish out of the murky waters and swallowed 'er whole...

;) Think smart, kiddies.

I would like to think that it could happen in some way, scary as the idea is

There is the recent scientific find of a species of wasp that lays eggs in a caterpillar, one of which stays inside it and controles it like a robot suit, to protect its siblings till they hatch.
There is also the Leucochloridium paradoxum, a parasite that makes its snail host crawl up grass to get eaten by birds. So I could totally understand the whole wanting to eat fish raw kind of behavour if it was caused by worms in the brain.

It does look like a movie prop though.

Did he survive?

That's just nasty. Not all maggots eat dead and dying flesh. The screw fly maggot eats the host alive. This could totally happen because I am majoring in zoology and we've seen pictures of this kind of thing but not to this extent, however.

I am studying neuroscience and this is not what a brain looks like. Fake.

I'm one of those people who loves seeing the most disgusting and extreme things. Love realistic looking horror films, blood, guts, etc.. can't get enough of it.. but seeing this literally almost makes me want to throw up even though i can't stop staring at it i want to puke.. I've seen all kinds of gore pictures of people whose bodies have been through hell and back but this is pretty damn gross.. and i love this website!!

Ah, sushi is great. If it was really that bad for you, then the Japanese wouldn't have the longest lifespan rate out of all the countries in the world. Besides, not all sushi is raw.

Oh, and as much as i hate when people go on here and say, "That's fake!" I'm gonna have to follow suit on this one and call a giant "BULLSHIT!" Cool to look at though. I love this site and Mr. Phucked!

You people are morons...

Yes, you can get worms from sushi, and yes they can burrow in your brain. Not ALL maggots only eat dead tissue, look at bot fly larva.

If these were in his brain, they would NOT be visible by just removing the scalp as they would be UNDER the skull. This man has a face mask on, NOT a breathing tube, therefor he is not sedated. This means the skull was not removed to observe these maggots, that they were burrowed into the actual scalp.

If this was a cancerous tumor, it could have began to rot, and thus maggot took over, but they would have only done so due to severe dead or dying tissue. My medical opinion being a nurse, is that there was a tumor on the head, which began to form lesions, or there was head trama. Flies began laying eggs in the lesions/wounds and as the scalp continued to deteriorate the fly larva were able to expand, and more eggs were able to be laid until this got so out of hand.

I do not believe this is an Asian man due to the blond hair. it is not gray, as it has a yellowish hue to it, which florescent lights, common in hospitals, can give blond hair.

It may kind of look lumpy like a brain, but your brain is actually gray, not pink and fleshy.

Point in all of this is do not allow wounds or tumors to get out of hand, and despite this NOT being from sushi, since people are morons and posted info on the dangers of it, you know to be careful with raw fish.

Those are not worms by the way, but worms do infest the brain, FYI. They form pockets and lay eggs. You could have worms right now, and never know. More common tape worms are found in 1 in every 4 people in the US that have traveled out of the country.

Also, to whomever said to get de-wormed, humans do not get de-wormed. To think we do is retarded. Yes we have medicine to remove them once found, but there is no treatment we get annually to prevent worms.

Asian people may have the largest human brains, but they really lack common sense. "Miss Evil R.N."- seriously, shut the fuck up. Thanks for the educational lecture, but if you couldn't tell, the people, like me, who look at this shit on this site, aren't exactly 100% normal. You really should consider cancer- it's a wonderful way to lose weight, which I am sure you are over.

Those look like phukken normal housefly maggots to me... trust me, I'm an undertaker ;)
