Its a pre-birth marriage and in order for it to be legal, both parties have to wear a ring.

Perhaps da womb was cut open just enough 4 da baby 2 come out slightly 4 surgery.  I forget where I saw it, but a baby had 2 b taken out partially in order 2 take care of a tumor.

I will go on the assumption that this is a cesarian going well and that momma and baby are both fine. Yup. That's what I'm going with.

they are wearing household cleaning gloves?

looks photoshopped to me.  the arm looks that of a man's; it's too developed and it has muscles for pete's sake.  besides, i never seen a baby come out of a cracked skull before.Lol  wait, i know, maybe it was a brainchild?  derp.  xD

HIGH-FIVE!

Funny this is, it's just an arm.

Finger-food.

Now that you mention it, it does look like a mans arm.
Even looks like there is hair on it :/

jesus people know a lot these days......baby's DO have muscle on their body's even before they are born and that is not hair...it's wrinkles covered in fluid

This is just one picture [dubbed "The Hand of Hope"] in a series that went into Life Magazine depicting an in-womb surgery to correct Spina Bifida.  If the baby had been allowed to develop to full-term, the baby may not have survived.  That is not a "cracked skull" that the hand is poking out of, it is a uterus.  There are stitches surrounding the opening so the uterus does not tear while they are performing the surgery.

This is the real picture, not photoshopped.

This surgery was also depicted on an episode of House.

Guess it's some morgue stuff.. pregnant mother dead and made ready for funeral. And the unborn (dead) child has to be removed as well. No biggie ._.

The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta. She knew of Dr. Bruner's remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb.

During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon's finger. Dr. Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile.

The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity. The editors titled the picture, "Hand of Hope." The text explaining the picture begins, "The tiny hand of 21-week-old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother's uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life."

Little Samuel's mother said they "wept for days" when they saw the picture. She said, "The photo reminds us pregnancy isn't about disability or an illness, it's about a little person" Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful. Now see the actual picture, and it is awesome...incredible....and hey, pass it on! The world needs to see this o

I had to vomit after reading that story.

This honestly shows how much news some of the members actually read or watch on tv, since this was in a lot of the news on internet and also was on a couple news broadcasts as well. This is a true story though and it was amazing that the doctor actually was able to save that baby's life the way he did.
